As we bid farewell to the Blessed Month of Ramadan, the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre join our congregation, British Muslims, and the entire Ummah in celebrating the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr. We extend our warmest wishes to all. “Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum” – may Allah accept our good deeds and yours.

With the Grace of Allah the Most High, we have been blessed with a Ramadan filled with spiritual growth, compassion, and unity. Our congregation and Muslims across Britain and worldwide have come together to strengthen our faith, serve our communities, and forge deeper bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.

This was only possible with the spirit of service demonstrated throughout the month. We want to pay tribute and express our deepest gratitude to our dedicated Huffaz, staff and volunteers. Their tireless efforts have made this Ramadan an unforgettable experience for all. Your commitment to serving the community and ensuring the smooth running of our mosque during this holy month has been truly inspiring.

This Ramadan, we were privileged to have been able to enjoy the temporary opening of the Phase 3 extension, allowing us to welcome even more worshippers during the Holy Month. We are incredibly thankful for the generosity and support of our community, which has brought us one step closer to the permanent opening of this new space. We look forward to the day when Phase 3 will be fully functional.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our partners, particularly the charities working diligently to support our community throughout Ramadan. Your tireless dedication to serving those in need embodies this Sacred Month's spirit.

“As we bid farewell to Ramadan, let us carry forward the lessons of service, compassion, and unity that this month has taught us,” said Junaid Ahmed, CEO of ELM, in his Eid message. “May Allah accept our prayers, fasting, and good deeds, and may He shower His blessings upon us and our loved ones.”

While we celebrate this joyous occasion with the Muslim Ummah, let us pray for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. May Allah grant them strength, resilience, and the courage to persevere in the face of adversity, and may He bring peace and justice to their land.

In his Eid message, Dr Abdul-Hayee Murshad, Chairman of the East London Mosque Trust, said: “As we embrace the festivities of Eid al-Fitr, let us carry the spirit of Ramadan with us throughout the year. May we nurture compassion, generosity, and unity and remain steadfast in our commitment to serving our community and upholding the values that define us.”

On behalf of the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre, we wish you and your loved ones a blessed Eid al-Fitr filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity. Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum, and may He bless us all with His infinite mercy and grace.

Eid Mubarak!
